BURTON ON THE WOLDS, COTES AND PRESTWOLD PARISH COUNCIL

PRESS RELEASE from the meeting of the Parish Council on 8th January 2019

P/17/2591/2 LOUGHBOROUGH ROAD, BURTON ON THE WOLDS PLANNING APPEAL

The Parish Council are pleased to report that the planning appeal has been withdrawn by the developer.

RUBBISH DUMPING ON THE PLANTING STRIP TO THE REAR OF HUBBARD ROAD

Burton on the Wolds, Cotes and Prestwold Parish Council own and maintain a piece of land around the development at Hubbard Road, including the planting strip behind properties to ensure that trees do not self-seed and grow too close to the property boundaries. Our grounds maintenance contractors have informed us that some residents of properties backing onto this land are dumping garden waste and other materials onto this strip. Could residents of properties bordering onto the strip who are disposing of their waste in this manner please stop to ensure that access for maintenance remains open at all times. Charnwood Borough Council operate recycling and household waste sites in Loughborough, Shepshed and Mountsorrel (https://www.charnwood.gov.uk/pages/tips) and a brown bin scheme specifically for garden waste.
