PRESS RELEASE from the Parish Council meeting on 12th November 2019

NOTICE OF A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER.

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is in force at Paudy Lane, Seagrave to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely undertake carriageway maintenance works. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure which is not anticipated to exceed a period of 5 weeks commencing on the 4th November 2019. Please be aware that the diversion is resulting in a much higher volume of traffic, specifically HGVs, through Burton on the Wolds and Cotes.

LION'S MOUTH FOUNTAIN, BURTON ON THE WOLDS.

The Lion's Mouth Fountain in Burton on the Wolds has undergone professional cleaning. Charnwood Borough Council Conservation Department will now inspect and confirm if further work is required.

FLOODING CONSULTATION

The Parish Council has contributed towards the consultation regarding flooding in the area and hope that this will help when flood plans are put in place.

POLICE REPORT

During the month of September, there was 1 x theft reported in Burton on the Wolds. Cotes and Prestwold had no reported crime.

During the month of October 2019 in Burton on the Wolds there was 1 x Theft of motor vehicle reported. Cotes had 1 x Burglary non-dwelling whereby containers where entered and items taken. Prestwold had no reported crime.

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

The next Parish Council meeting will take place on Tuesday 3rd December 2019 at 7.30 p.m. at the Village Hall, Burton on the Wolds. There is a 15 minute section at each Parish Council meeting where you are welcome to speak if you have any questions or comments.
