2021 02 08 Charnwood Covid confirmed cases information.

Covid information from Cllr Jenny Bokor

Here are local case numbers for the week ending 30 January. The Wolds, Barrow, Sileby, Cossington & Rearsby with a population of 22,367 had 39 cases which equals 170 cases per 100,000 of population. (We had only 10 cases in The Wolds, Cossington & Rearsby)Loughborough & Quorn with a population of 71,349 had 134 cases which equals 185 per 100,000 of population. (The highest area in Loughborough was Lemyington & Hastings ie the town centre, with 40 cases) This is excellent news, below the national average which is 200 cases per 100,000 population & I expect a further decline for this week as well , which I will report as soon as the numbers are available. Well done everyone for sticking to the rules & getting vaccinated. HOWEVER, There's no room for complacency so no wild parties please until we get the green light out of lockdown. So stay safe, keep your distance, wash your hands and wear your mask when shopping Best regards Cllr Jenny Bokor
